The Treasury Management Association of San Diego (TMASD), a non-profit organization, provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and perspectives on the treasury management profession.

Membership is open to individuals from business and non-profit organizations of any size, financial institutions, or other financial and educational institutions.

  • Serve on the TMASD Board of Directors.
  • Establish goals, objectives and policies for the year.
  • Review the association's long term goals - adjust as necessary.
  • Oversee committee functions and planning.
  • Set agendas and preside over monthly luncheon meetings.
  • Conduct Board/Officer/Committee Chair meetings as needed.
  • Appoint individuals or committees as required.
  • Coordinate relations between the national AFP and TMASD.

  • Serve on the TMASD Board of Directors.
  • Conduct meetings in absence of the President.
  • Oversee the activities of the Government Relations Liaison.
  • Oversee the College Scholarship Program.
  • Formulate strategic plans for the upcoming fiscal year.
     

    Vice President-Education: Sharon Slofkosky Email

  • Serve on the TMASD Board of Directors.
  • Oversee and guide the Program Committee.
  • Distribute annually list of TMASD events that qualify for CTP renewal credits.
  • Set up and schedule TMASD educational programs and seminars.
  • Coordinate study groups for CTP exam preparation.
  • Oversee the Facilities Committee.
  • Act as liaison with the academic community for TMASD related matters.

  • Serve on the TMASD Board of Directors.
  • Serve as Chairperson of the Membership Committee.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the membership database of the TMASD.
  • Administer membership renewals and new members applications.
  • Develop and coordinate new member recruitment programs.
  • Develop and coordinate member retention programs.

  • Serve on the TMASD Board of Directors.
  • Perform the fiscal duties of the Treasurer of the Association.
  • Establish and maintain banking relationships for the Association.
  • Maintain financial records for the Association.
  • Prepare budget for the fiscal year.
  • Present financial statements to the Board at regular meetings.
  • Prepare Annual Report to the membership.
  • Prepare TMASD tax return and file in a timely manner.
  • Maintain adequate insurance for the Association.
     

    Secretary: Erin Patterson Email

  • Serve on the TMASD Board of Directors.
  • Provide meeting/topic/location information to members and prospects.
  • Process meeting reservations.
  • Order and maintain stock of TMASD stationary and supplies.
  • Handle check-in at meetings.
    • Take attendance and keep track of actual vs. planned attendees.
    • Prepare name badges for expected attendees, guests & speakers.
    • Collect fees as due.
    • Prepare a list of luncheon guests and new members for President.
  • Prepare and distribute minutes of officer and luncheon meetings.
  • Send out the ballot and proxy for the election of the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain TMASD correspondence history and other appropriate records.

    Program Committee:

  • Establish meeting dates for luncheon meetings.
  • Communicate program plans with Facilities Committee and Secretary.
  • Poll membership for desired/needed programs.
  • Select luncheon program topics and speakers.
  • Provide meeting dates, topics and speaker information for email delivery to members.
  • Cover all details of luncheon program to include:
    • Speaker audio visual requirements.
    • Speaker biography for speaker introductions.
    • Follow-up thank you letters for all speakers.
       

    Facilities Committee:

  • Select and reserve meeting facilities for TMASD luncheon programs.
  • Select menus.
  • Negotiate pricing and arrange for payment through Treasurer.
  • Ensure facility is set up according to Program Committee instructions.
     

    CTP Exam Coordinator:

  • Organize and monitor progress of CTP study groups.
  • Coordinate CTP Scholarship Program for CTP exam registrants.
     

    Fall Conference Committee:

  • Plan and carry out all aspects of the annual Fall Conference to include:
    • Site selection and coordination
    • Program
    • Speakers
    • Sponsorship
    • Marketing
    • Registration
    • Signs and gifts
    • Budget
       

    Membership Committee:

  • Administer membership renewals including invoice processing.
  • Maintain current member listing, including TMASD Member information.
  • Maintain member, prospect and Fall Conference database.
  • Recruit and orient new members.
  • Recommend changes to new member policy.
  • Assist the Secretary in monitoring luncheon attendance.
     

    Government Relations Committee:

  • Coordinate with the national AFP on legislative issues impacting Treasury.
  • Draft TMASD position statements and forward to AFP as required.
  • Keep members informed about regulatory issues and deadlines.
     

    Nominating Committee:

  • Solicit candidates to fill Board vacancies.
  • Assemble the ballot for election of the next years Board of Directors.
  • Receive and total proxies from membership, validating that a quorum was met.
  • Present election results to Membership at the Annual Business Meeting.
