The Role of an Investment Manager
We invite you to learn the benefits of what an investment manager can bring
to your treasury/cash management program. Martin Cassell, chief investment
officer for Chandler Asset Management, will explore the role of a
professional investment manager including fiduciary responsibilities and
risk management.
This discussion will provide a framework you can use to analyze your current
investment program and start to develop a more customized approach to your
cash management needs. If you influence investments at your firm, you will
gain insight into the specific services an asset manager can offer,
understand how they can add value to your investment program and identify
how to evaluate your overall investment goals.

Speaker Biography:
Martin Cassell is the Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer
at Chandler Asset Management, and is a principal of the firm. As CIO, Mr.
Cassell is responsible for setting portfolio strategy and oversight of
portfolio risk management. Mr. Cassell has been in the financial industry
for almost two decades and has spent the last fifteen years focusing on
investment grade fixed income at Chandler. Prior to joining Chandler in
1991, Marty managed a $1 billion fixed income portfolio for the City of San
Diego. He began his investment career at World Savings and Loan in 1987,
where he managed the liquidity portfolio, futures hedging program and medium
term note issuance.
